08.5 Z28 AT w/09 limb pockets

Postby JamesG » March 4th, 2010, 3:08 pm

Just throwing this out there, i may end up keeping it. 08.5 Z28 AT w/09 limb pockets . Ok here it goes, bow has been dry fired :o only thing i can find damaged is the string post on both cams are bent, so cams will have to be replaced. String & cable are Stage 1's and appear to be ok.

You can get a hold of Wes, Justin Morgan, and also check out the Elite forum.

BTT
Rev cams can be found on AT and EAF for 50-60$, new 2010 Rev cams with mods from Elite 80$
So less than 300$ for a Z28.

Wow, what a great deal for somebody willing to do a little work. Maybe me...

So let me understand this. It's an 8.5 yet has '09 limb pockets. What does that mean and how does that happen? Can Rev cams (I think) be put on it to return it to original 8.5 configuration?

From my understanding, the older limb pockets did not have as tight of tolerances as the new limb pockets. Rev cams can be put on this bow and it would be an 08.5 Z. I hope this helps.

Yeah, thanks for clearing it up. Dern, I hope somebody buys this quick. I really don't have the money. But doing the math, you pay 200, add 100, sell it for 400. Tough to beat that deal.

That exactly right. and you can put new 2010 cams with mods on it, that would make it easier to sell. If i had a press and the know how i would do it myself.
