Dream Pursuit, Inc., is a 501 (c)(3), non-profit organization with the sole purpose of providing hunting and fishing adventures to children and young adults twenty-one (21) years of age and younger, who have been diagnosed with a life-threatening illness. In doing this, we are able to bring together the two most valuable treasures that we have been entrusted with--our children and the great outdoors!

Most of us are taught at an early age to establish dreams for the future and to plan ahead so those dreams might become a reality. As we all know, in many cases, the word "future" takes on a whole new meaning as we are forced to live day to day because each day has become our future and with that, our dreams are set aside for more important things.

Dream Pursuit was formed to help children and young adults, diagnosed with a life-threatening illness, to be able to realize their dreams of an outdoor adventure by providing fully funded hunting and fishing adventures.

With each and every adventure, our goal is to provide a positive outdoor experience for every participant and their family members. For those of you that have been exposed to our great outdoors, you know just how rewarding and rejuvenating it can be. The harvest of an animal or the catch of a fish, is only a small part of this experience. The people we meet, the places we go, the lives we touch, if only for a time, will leave the memories that last long after the adventure is complete.

For these dreams to take place, it takes a great deal of time, money, dedication and generosity from all of those involved. This is why Dream Pursuit is dependant upon your help and generous contributions to assure that these dreams will become a reality. We are in need of individuals, businesses, corporations, civic organizations, outfitters, manufacturers, guides, charter captains and taxidermists to partner with our organization so that we can raise the funds that are vital to our cause. Won't you join with us today?

We want to personally thank you for visiting our site and we trust that before you leave, you have considered becoming a partner with Dream Pursuit so that we can assure that these adventures are able to continue. Without your help, we could not make this happen.

First of all, let me say thanks to everyone at archeryaddix for getting behind our organization, you guys are a great bunch! Second, let me apologize for no avatar yet, all my pictures and logo's are too large...get something up soon!

I just wanted to give everyone some food for thought and to make the point that "strength is in numbers". To say to everyone, "we need to raise enought money to fund 28 hunts ($100,000)", would probably lead everyone to say, "good luck with that". That is because we all tend to focus on the larger number and not the path to get there. Let me explain....I recently signed our organization up with another outdoor blog to increase our outreach in networking. In three days time, we have picked up 13 adds (friends). Those 13 friends have a total of 67,216 friends. To be realistic, let's just use 10% of that number and work with 6721. If 6721 people would donate just $15. per year (less than .05 cents a day), we have reached our goal of 28 hunts!! 8-)

Forums are a very powerful tool for organiztions such as Dream Pursuit. People just have to realize that as with anything, strength comes in numbers! Thanks again to archeryaddix for all your help and I hope and pray that everyone that reads this will help us in spreading the word and helping us in any way that you can.

Thanks and God bless!

On Oct. 16-17, D A Outfitters has graciously agreed to close their property and lodges down to accomodate 4 Dream Pursuit participants for early muzzleloader season. I know that this is a non archery event but it does not change the need and we are all "hunters", just our methods are different. We are covering all expenses for these children and their immediate family members such as traveling expenses, tags, muzzleloaders, powder, sabots, scopes, camo gear, footware and taxidermy. We are looking for help from outdoorsmen (and women), manufacturers, civic organizations, taxidermists, pro shops etc., that can assist in making these hunts a memorable experience for everyone!

Anyone that can help in anyway, please send me a PM and let me know! The harvest of an animal or the catch of a fish, is only a small part of this experience. The people we meet, the places we go, the lives we touch, if only for a time, will leave the memories that last long after the adventure is complete. Thanks for your consideration!
