What sight pins do you prefer and is there an advantage one over the other? I am getting an extreme but not sure which one to get.

.19 is going to allow you to see more of the target. The .29 is going to be brighter later in the evening asuming there is no artificial light attatched. I think the smaller pins are more popular for 3d. I shot a Sword sight with.010 man was they bright. Plus for later it had a light you could turn on.

I think .19 is the way to go. They allow you to see more of the target and allow for more precise pin placement. They are also plenty bright in most all of the new sights with any kind of wrapped fiber around the housing.. You should have no problems with seeing pins up to legal shooting hours.

I have .029 pins on my Ross. If I had it to do over I would get .019 pins. I have been looking at the Extreme sights myself.

I had used .029 till I got my last sight. Went with .019 and have been very happy. Like some have said you can see more of the target.

I have .09 pins but I don't like how small they are....
Most of my viper sights are set up with a .09 pin for my closest distance and .19 for the others.

Been shooting .29 and just switched to the Spot-Hogg Real Deal with .19 pins. I like the sight picture much better with the .19 pins and with the fiber they are easy to pick up. I also ordered a Wrap Kit from Spot-Hogg set up in the following manor:

Top Pin - .29 GRN
Mid Pin - .19 GRN
Bot Pin - .10 RED

Gonna use this set-up for hunting

.019 for me. Thought .029 was a bit big at closer distances IMO. Using a Copper John Dead Nuts 2 Supreme on my Cardiac and the brightness is great even with the smaller pins.

I like the .019. For today's speed bows that have flatter trajectories at further distances, your pin gaps will be tighter and the .019 fibers help you to achieve that without sacrificing your sight picture.
I have the 7 pin Tru-Glo Extreme and I like it for 3-d and target shooting, but for hunting I will stick with a 3 or 4 pin sight with .029 fibers. But that's just me. I limit myself to shots under 45 yards when it comes to animals.
