anybody see the show about the moses buck on 24/7
I ain't to much on watching the pro's deer hunting but pat shot a large buck in buffalo county wisconsin and made what looked like a good shot. didn't get the deer. right behind the shoulder at a pretty good quarter forward.
when i saw the shot i said dead deer. didn't happen. he survived for about 2 more monthes before a gun hunter got him.
when they dressed the deer out the arrow had deflected forwar off of a rib after breaking the first rib and never entered the chest cavity to the vitals.
moral of the story for me is you just never have a buck until you can put your hands on him.
I don't know what kind of setup or broadhead pat uses but all i can say is wow. you just never know. what a heartbreaker. the buck scord 217 and netted i think 192 or so.
anybody know if pat uses an arrow under 400 grains.
