I have hunted with both alum and carbon. I shoot both from time to time. my ross 334's really like 400 ICS bemans.

I shot some 2212's this afternoon and they shoot great. they seam to be alot more forgiving to a bad shot.

is it just me or are aluminum arrows easier to shoot. forget about durability straightness never changing and penetration. we all know carbon arrows have a lot of advantages, it just seams that aluminum arrows with all of their bad traits still really do shine as far as accuracy.

yes they do shoot good, but they just bend too easy for me. I like the advantages of carbon arrows more than the advantages of aluminum. #1 reason is the incread speed which means less pin gap, this could prove to be more accurate out in the field.

you can get the spine that you need, thats its advantage. Also its disadvantage too, complicated system and trial and error to find the right arrow. But when you do they are good.

I am not sure if I can say that....
Once I moved to Carbon I have never looked back at alum arrows, that is except for traditional shooting.

don't get me wrong i am tickled to death with the performance of my ICS 400 bemans. i would not change back to aluminum for anything. I just thought i would shoot some 2212's and they shot just as good. kinda surprised me. a great bow will shoot a lot of different arrows.

I always end up on the weak spine arrows for my shooting style or some other reason i don't know. I don't have the best form in the world. i just slingem and if they survive i shoot em again. BRU

Well Bru, just for giggles, I have been shooting SuperSlams off of my 331 ( look at the grips thread in the classifieds ~ the bow with the green grips is mine, and look at the arrow) .
They are 2217's and weigh 12 gpi. They are heavy and slow, about 250-255 fps. But, when they hit my Block target straight on, they rock it back on its back edge. I am going to hunt with them this season. They make a quiet bow quieter, and penetration will not be an issue.

They certainly pack a punch.
