hunting piggies is a fun way to spend your off season.

id say speed bows are nice, but its better to have a heavy arrow. Also study up on pig anatomy, knowing where the heart and lungs are on a pig compared to the breast plate will help you drop a hog over chasing a pig.

yes several feral pig spots in mo. MDC lists them on the website. We thankfully dont have the population like texas does, but we have some. UNless you have friends or a outfitter that keeps on eye on the pack MO is probably not your best place to plan a hog hunt.

for your first hunt you probably should head to a high pig population area or a fenced hunt.

ill check around and see if the pigs around stockton lake are worth a trip for. There are a few other options in mo Like Ft Leonard wood area and a few others, I think semo said he has pockets in SE mo.

A group from wv hunts Osceola Outfitters in Florida every year and they will keep going back. I have only been once, missed this year saving money for our wedding, but it is a first class operation. They put you up, feed you and do anything they can to get you on hogs. I shot 3 and total for the trip including gas, hotels on the way down and back and i spent less than $1000. One of my favorite hunts.

Me and some buddies went this past Feb and had a blast.
I will try to find the name of the place but it is outside of Fort Meyers in Florida. I used my H&R Slug gun but will be bringing my Cardiac next year! he also has black and axis deer. all the Boar are wild except for a few breeders he introduced.
