This is my first post here, what a great forum, I need some help with arrows, I haven't had a bow for quite a few years just getting back into it, I just bought a Ross 334 but I don't know what arrows to go with or vane length or tip grain my guess would be carbons, So I ask for your help, I'm using it more for a 3d bow for now, not hunting, my draw length is 28in. I'd like to shoot the bow around 65lbs, so what should I go with and how much should the arrow weight, to get good speeds for 3d and what length, I've talked with some archey shops and everyone tells me something different, I don't want to buy something and not be happy with it, So that is why I ask you guys that know the Ross bows. Thanks for your help.

I shoot Goldtips and find the 5575 arrows with blazer 2 inch vanes are great outta a Ross bow. :(

I use a Whisker Biscuit rest for my hunitng rigs and have no porbelm with the blazer vanes durability.

I have been shooting the Blackhawk vapor pro's for the last 6 months. I switched to them after using a much more expensive arrow that my dealer was selling. I have been really impressed with the quality of these so far, they have also been very durable. Last time I looked they where around $50 a dozen for shafts.

arrow choice

I don't know what shooter class you'll be shooting in 3D tourney's and I'm not sure of the rules for all the organiztions. NFAA, ASA,IBO. I do know that you'll need to stay as close as you can to the 5 grains per inch range this is the ratio of total arrow weight to pounds of pull out of youir bow. I shot my 334 in some NFAA bowhunters class shoots with Gold Tip pro hunters 5575 the go for 8.2 gpi and if your going to shoot this class you have to have at least 4 inch vanes or feathers. If you want to shoot a fat shaft there are a ton to choose from Carbon Express line jammers, Gold Tip 22's or the 30x cutters, Easton fatboys are just a few. As for tip weight you'll have to play with this to get the ratio and acheive the best arrow flight. Good Luck and Happy shooting
