My only goal is to be in this wonderful country for the season......but with missing 6 of the last 9 seasons, it's more like a dream.

a few,,,

WAIT for a 'best shot' opportunity, [don't rush it]
Also,,,get a few does for venison early on.
COOL WEATHER {ok,,a 'wish' of mine} early in season.
Just enjoy a great time of fellowship safely with my brother in law and hunting friends.
Big rack buck? It really doesn't matter to me. Can't eat horns.

I would like to say, kill a wall hanger, but this will be my 3rd year bow hunting and I already have my wall hanger, killed a 135 7/8" 10 pointer last fall. I was and am proud of it, but when the initial burst of adrenaline was gone I realized that I may never get the opportunity to kill a larger buck with a bow. Now if a 120 class buck walks by I'm gonna look at him and say nope too small! Yeah right, he's gonna be toast!

Seriously though, one goal is to get my first kill with the Cardiac.
Other than that, I would like to kill 4 deer for meat, last year I killed 3 and all I have left are a couple of roasts.

I would also like to arrow a coyote or 2.

My main goal though is to bow kill a turkey. I have not yet killed one and it would be sweet if my 1st were with my Ross!

I read the chat threat about the young boy who just before dying from cancer was granted a wish to hurt for a bear. While sitting their trying to hold back tears of sadness for him and of joy that he was able to fulfil a dream I was thinking about this chat thread and trying to decide how i could tell you folks a goal I have been hoping I could fulfil for some time.

Life is short at best, at worst we can be taken out of this world at any moment as this young boy was.

I have wondered for some time why so many bowhunters were so secretive about where they hunt, so many have private land that they never share with others.

As an example we have a shop shooter in our shop who has had a local spot that is full of game, he scouts, sets stands, builds food plots & hunts but never invites anyone to go with him, how sad. He is missing priceless time where he could be building relationships.

It would be ok if this were a small issue but it isnt it fills the archery world so many hunters protect that secret spot and never realize how much it is costing them.

So with that said my goal and wish this year is that each one of you will make it part of your goals and take someone with you everytime you go hunting. Take a friend who has never been before, a child who has a desire to learn about hunting, your family members or even a young child who is dying and has a dream to go hunting before he or she dies.

The most important thing in life is the memories we leave for others.

I agree
I take people hunting with me all the time
I have access to some pretty good land and there are plenty of deer for everyone.
I enjoy hunting with others (well, most people, some only get asked once :) )

One of the things i mentioned in the article for this week was to find a hunting partner.

For me, hunting with others and the memories we have are priceless.
