I am going on an Elk Hunt in New Mexico or Colorado in September ’08. Does anybody have recommendations on a lightweight, waterproof, uninsulated, durable boot? I am looking for some lightweight comfortable socks as well. Any and all recommendations from experience will be appreciated. I will be bringing 2 pairs of boots with me to switch them out, to keep my feet fresh!

I am fond of Rockys, They have treated me well ver the years! Something to think about picking up is a pair of Gor-Tex socks. They help your feet breath and if you step in the drink your feet will stay dry. I have used both in Colorado in '04 and '06
