So i entered the trail cam world the other day by getting the Truth 40 cam from Cabelas.
Pretty good deal for $79 and i will get $30 back in a rebate check once i send the receipt in....Net $49
For $49 it should be a great cam for me.
It's so easy to operate with only a few switches to move....and that's a big reason why i chose it....simplicity!

Anyone on here have that cam or had ?

I had one and took it back. It just kept taking pictures all the time of nothing. Would fill my card up in about 3 days.

Good luck. I have an older model. It still takes pics but eats batteries. Seems most of the cheaper models are somewhat of a crap shoot. If you get a good one, you're golden. If not, then you'll be sending it back. Make sure to fill out the warranty and save the receipt. Hope you got a "good one".

Go with Lithium Batteries and that will help with your Primos you just bought.
Yup. Always run good batteries in any trail cam it makes a huge difference. My wife LOVES to buy dollar store batteries for remotes and crap around the house I made the mistake of using em one time in a trail cam. I won't put anything but a Duracell or energizer or higher quality now.

I'm running some panasonic d-cell batteries. They were $1.69 for a two pack. Less than $4 to power my trail cam.
After a couple of weeks and several hundred pics there still at 99%. Really impressed with the batt. life and quality of pics!
The effective range is surprisingly good.
