I have the sight in the DS5019 version. It works just like HHA claims. I used the original setup instructions and set my bow up to the 0 to 60 yards version. HHA claims the 20 to 60 verison is the most accurate of the two methods for setup. I dont intend to take a 60 yard shot but I figured it would be best to use the most accurate method. It is very simple to setup and use.

I tested it once setup using my range finder and it was dead on out too 40 yards, I didnt have time to go back to 60 but I would have to assume it would be dead on as well. I whole heartedly recomment this sight and HHA has as good a customer service department of any company I have dealt with.

If anyone has an issue getting one let me know and I will check the shop to see if we have them in stock. It is such a good sight it will be tuff for anyone to keep them on the shelf.

I have had one for most of the summer for 3D purposes. It is as solid as they get and the rheostat feature is really handy in the sun ,the shade, or lowlight. I also recommend it to anyone's attention.

I saw the DS-5000 today. It sure is a sweet little thing. The DS-XL5519 just might be getting ordered. :(

I was going to get the XL but I wanted the rheostat feature.
The XL means it's the 2" model. The 55XX have the adjustable "rheostat" housing, the 50XX are the standard housing.

Finally got around to messing with the new HHA DS-5519. Due to the fact I'm limited with the recent knee surgery, I was able to get in the basement and take some 15 yard shots sitting in a chair. I know you should start off at 20 yards, but easier for me to shoot in basement for now than to haul everything outside. After about 6 shots at the Block 4x4, my left to right was good and the hight was about 2 inches low. I made some adjustments and 2 shots later I busted up one of the C/E's, but it was well worth it. The sight is flat out awesome and very micro adjustable. :(

As a side note, I shoot a 28" draw and use a 3/16 Meta peep and the peep lines up perfectly with the 1 5/8 sight housing on the DS-5519.

I now have 2 HHAs,,,

both 5000s,,a 0.019 and a 0.029"...I like the smaller pin much better.
How are you going to set yours for deer hunting? Leave it a 25,27 or even 30 yards setting in case you don't have time to range?
I figure the only reason I'll change my pin setting for a deer is for a 40 yard shot IF I were to even decide to take that long a shot.
Flinging Judo points at gray squirrels out at 60 yards is fun.
Ok,,only did it a few times.

ps [ADDED] I WILL have my Nikon 440 with me~!

Once I have it set up and fine tuned, I will set the sight at 25 yards for deer hunting and lock it down. If the situations comes for a shot out to 40 yards, I will evaluate the situation and only take the shot if I'm comfortable in doing so. :(
