Well today was an all time low! In the spring i was invited to go to NM and hunt Elk. It would have been my first time and i was so looking forward to the hunt and hanging with the guys. Man I felt like a kid a Christmas.

So... I had to call and tell my buddies to fill my spot with another buddy that wanted to go. My reason, is long and complicated and far to depressing to get in to here. Needless to say between work and keeping my family supported, I had to pass. It's absolutley killing me as i know i will never get that kind of opportunity again.

Thanks for letting me vent a bit guys. I will be hunting whitetail here in upstate NY. Not too bad, i still get to hunt and with my new Ross CR331!!! So life is still good!!!

I had the chance years ago to go elk hunting with a few of my buddies and wasn't able to go either so I know how you feel. Keep your chin up.

i know how ya feel man i put off a trip to illinois last year so i just figured i would go this year but i lost my job in feb,so much for that thats just the way mt luck goes
