Stats & Story

Stats on the goat...15.5 L...15.25 R...

Shot with a rifle at about 80 yds...I was trying to get over a small rise in the field to shoot the antelope when I was spotted by his buddies who proceded to run off. In haste I shot and the bullet went through the grass on the rise....nothing but neck...dropped right in his tracks! I guess I was living right to get a break like that.

Planning on going with archery gear next year and see if I can get one with the stick and string! :(

And when folks tell you they are good to eat when they don't run....don't believe them! :-(

Here is a great recipe...

Take whichever cut of the goat you prefer....

Place in baking bag...

Put in a shovel full of horse manure...or cow if you prefer.

Bake until done...

Open bag, throw away goat parts and eat manure...

That is about as good as I can explain it. Maybe someone else has a way to cook them but I never have found out how.

I will be leaving the next ones at a local shelter for donation.
