Does anyone here do them?

I do, i enjoy it almost as much hunting...
Experimenting with plots and plot design is always fun.

right now ive got chicory and clover with a bit of rye.
Its almost time to get ready for the spring annuals....

this winter im going to try oats and a rye grass designed for prolonged winter growth.

this spring I think i might try lablab or another pea/bean mixed in with milo or a shorter corn if i can decide LOL.

i have to keep the deer or my gun happy neighbors who believe if its brown its down.

I will work some on my familys farm in Marshfield, MO in the next few years.
The land is over 80 acres- prime with a nice creek running thru it and a mix of woods and grass already bordered by railroad tracks and a powerline "run" that the deer use regularly :(

mostly red oaks? any white oaks? it never hurts to fertilize your white oaks :)

IMO power line ROWs are prime to to plant. FWIW ive found that imperial no plow works great for the smaller ROWs this mix requires less sunlight for some reason.

its too bad that we cant really utilize brassicas/turnips around here during first bowseason and gun season, since it usually never dips below freezing to make em all tasty.

you gonna hit spring turkey there? SW MO is already greening up, Ive got some oaks starting to bud up soon to explode :-(
way to early for it, ive seen dogwoods start too.

early springs suck for turkey hunting...
