Draw looks a hair long. Other than that it looks great. Shortening the draw will straighten up the spine and keep him from leaning back. :(
You might be a lil picky, but your being honest. I would agree that if the draw was a tad shorter it would straighten up the spine at the hips to avoid leaning back. You wanna try and encourage any shooter to make the "T" shape form when shooting. Great to see the youngsters shooting :( keep up the good work

I am not sure that the DL is too long. If he stood straight and pushed that left arm out a bit I think he would be on the money.

He is leaning his head down into the peep, if he still does this AFTER you adjust the DL/position, move the peep up a bit so he is looking straight into it. I would also encourage shooting off the tip of the nose, not the side. I see both but the tip is a more consistent spot (less flesh there).

Also, tell him to relax those front fingers. It is hard to tell by a picture but those babies need to be limber and free of tension.

Shorten up the release some, he is using the tip of his finger and should be using the first crease. Using the tip will encourage punching the trigger. I suggest at least the first crease, lock in the finger and actually use back muscles to pull through the shot.

Nice to see the young man with a bow in his hand. Kudos to the adults that support their kids.

Great picture, I would have someone stand behind you and look over your elbow. if the string of the bow is inline with your elbow then the draw length is ok. Your elbow tells alot. if the draw length is too long your elbow will be further behind you if it is too short it will be out in front of you. Even if it is too long you will soon grow into it, have fun and shoot as much as you can.

Ok .. so we made some changes .... One was a new bow with a more adjustable draw length... (hey its only money) then got ride of the tubing peep and installed a G5 meta peep... Seems to fit much better now .. i still need to get a new release that can shorten more, but let me know what you guys think.... Target is at 20 yrds....

 Is that the Trykon Jr. or the Trykon sport or something like that? lol
He's 12 - in NYS you need to be 14 to get a jr. Archery tag...

But you have a good eye.... :)

It's a Trykon Jr.... what a sweet junior bow....

Wow 14? I think I started at about 11 or 12 here. The only requirement is that you are pulling atleast 40 or 45lbs, cant remember which. How many pounds is he pulling? Also how much did that bow set ya back? I think back then, I was shooting a PSE Nova, with the plastic wheels. Pulling 42lbs 24" DL and shooting 1816 Easton Jazz arrows. :)
