The biggest thing about ground blinds in my opinion is being able to blend in.

I hunt in the hardwoods of south carolina mostly and was wondering if anybody had any ideas of what pattern camo would be the best to blend in.

I had a double bull t2 and the brown camo just did not blend well. I had a brickhouse in mossy oak breakup i think and it was real dark to everything else.

is there a camo blind out there that you dont have to cover completely to hide.

any opinion would be appreciated. I would be able to leave this blind up forever and would love to hunt out of a blind during windy or rainy days

thanks IL my T2 was predator brown and i had problems with getting picked off. I was thinking maybe a different camo would help. where i hunt has some pines.

you know one thing i have noticed about people bowhunting out of a blind they are mostly using black clothing inside the blind .

maybe that is what i need to focus on instead.

I don't own a blind yet but all I have read about the Eastman ASAT blind is really getting my attention.
Numerious color and B&W pics show it to not only blend in well but the condtruction seems to be top notched too.
Dont get me wrong, i know Double Bull has set a great standard as far as blinds but the ASAT seems pretty neat too.

blinds should be blended in with natural cover. Pine branches, branches, anything to breakup the silouette.

The black thing does work....

The only time i wouldnt break up the silouette is during turkey hunting.

If you want something permanent, and you own the land. Build a box with a roof.

my hunting buddy bought an eastman outfitter blind @ sam's club last year, its friggin big. can hunt two comfortably it has some tie off points to lash on branches

ASAT

I went with the ASAT Easton blind because of the camo and price.

This blind is just as good as DB, but only 250.00 bucks.

Picture of a hub

Here is me holding my ROSS CR337 inside the blind. Plenty of room.

As you can see there is no glare from the sun

Looking out from the blind, very dark on the inside

From the first pic I killed a turkey at 14 yds on Monday. Turkey was as close a 7

My belief is most any camo will do. Deer notice movement more that anything. :-x
My thinking too... heck, back in the day hunting (not with blinds) with my father, uncles, and grandpa, I dont think a one of us owned any camoflauge. :)

i think deer notice blinds, however they work. No matter what the camo IMO you need to tuck it into some cover and blend it in with twigs and limbs. If camo was effective, why do military snipers utilize ghillies?

no matter what you buy, you have to blend that blind in with the natural surroundings, the camo on the blind is a starting point.

i noticed this last deer season, my friend put up a blind at my place and we set it up and it spooked the deer. We didnt take the time to blend it as well as we shouod have.

Turkey... well they dont notice blinds like the deer do.

wear black inside and keep your portholes closed except for the one in front, light entering a blind will bust you faster then poor camo.

we've been hunting out of a eastman blind this turkey season. two of us fit inside really well. The window flap, and window triangles take getting used to, but the more i hunt with a blind the more i see the matrix is just more windo friendly. THe eastman uses magnets and hooks to keep the windows closed (on the model we use) they work.

tip, dont use the stakes that come with the blind, go buy some real stakes that are at least 12 inches long, blinds are like sails when the wind picks up.

I think im going to save up for one matrix and one eastman.
