Semo? I got a question about some handloads. I got some handloads for my .30-06 they were loaded back in 2002. I haven't shot them because when the guy loaded them I then moved to Virginia and could'nt shoot them there. Everytime I go to shoot my rifle I buy new ammo because I'm afraid of how they will shoot. I have kept them upright and in a cartridge container in a metal ammo can. Do you think they would be OK to shoot?

they should be fine, as long as you trust the handloader and your rifle is in good shape.

My first question would be does the guy you got them from know what he's doing concerning handloading? I personally am very hesitant to shoot other peoples handloads. If you know the guy and he's not one to try to make a Magnum out of a 30-06 then there is no reason to think your 5 year old handloads would have any problems.

I know your not that far away from me. If you ever decide you want to learn handloading let me know and I'll have you down. I love getting new people involved in handloading. When you take a deer with a handload it's kind of like taking a deer with an arrow you fletched/built yourself.
By the way guys, I don't drink coffee. I get the cans from my mother and from work. They make great containers for brass and cast bullets.

It's already not that neat!!!
Look'en good !! Semo Wish I had the room to set my stuff up full time. :-(
 I have everthing in the shop downstairs and then some, to do all the reloading I can, but I just can't seem to find the time to do it. Then with everything else I'am involved in I don't get to shoot like I used to. :???:

I guess that's one good thing about this heat wave here in Mo. To hot to be doing much outside so one gets a lot inside stuff done. In my case handloading.
I trust him

I trust that he did a good job. He loaded some 150gr. and 168 gr. combined technology( Win. silver BT) in once fired brass for me. He measured the head space in my Browning A-Bolt. He gave me a complete print out of ballistics, powder charge, powder brand, and primers used. We will certainly have to get together one of these days. I will start saving my .223 brass from my AR-15. 8) :(

Hot it is and it does keep me in. This week I fixed up 2 dozen arrows, put new cams, string and cable on a Hoyt and new string and cables on an XT. Fixed the trailcam and tomorrow evening after work I'll be out finally hanging camaras on the hunting property. Saturday "honeydoos" and shooting at Cole Camp on sunday.

I need hunting season to start so I can rest
