·I spent 4 months in your state during the summer of '96. Really enjoyed it. I was a Cavalry Scout sent there for Operation Joint Endeavor(Bosnia).
Our headquarters was Ft Dix, but we ran all over the Philly, New York, and Dover area. We were assigned sedans called "chase vehicles". Our mission was to take out any vehicles that interfered with the convoys of weapons, soldiers, etc.
The people of you state seemed very friendly. Not so much, though, when we'd get into the New York City area. :?

Were you carrying a weapon when you meet the people here? If so thats why they were polite.Ka-Ka said:
There are a lot of down home friendly people that still live here but they are going away fast. Seems to be too fast paced to be friendly anymore.
