I had some time last nite at the archery shop so I put one of the new HOT DOTS on my bow and gave it a try. I was actually a tat impressed. I used it in the single pin mode and it only took about five minutes to lock it in, the tool less adjustment is great. I would like to have a tat better dot, for me it has a slight halo around it but when you turn the light down it works well. It may look different when outside also but it was a tat dark to try that. The two features I really like are the dot only no pin to deal with and you will be able to shoot much later than any non lite pin would. It has a 3 pin, 6 pin, single pin and pendulium mode if i get a chance I will try the other modes and let you folks know how it does. I think it may be a good fix for left eye domant people who dont want to switch to a lefty bow. We had a guy retap his bow and placed the sight on the inside of the sight window which allowed him to look at the sight with his left eye. Kind of weird but it did work for him.

Mike it is both left and right, just two screws too move. Ill bet you will like it unless the dots are too large. I did notice when you turn the lite down the dot gets smaller and more uniform, it is a nice sight.

I saw one at gander mountain the other night and the sight did not look like it would stand up to a lot of abuse. I took it in my hands and you can twist it, and the clear plastic that the dot is projected on is thin and you can flex it. The clerk also said if the battery died you had to resight it all back in. I just wonder how well it hold up in the woods while hunting. Also I doubt if it is pope & young legal either. It looks neat but I just worry about using it to hunt with.

I agree with my dad on this one. The site did not look like it would stand up to much abuse. I didn't like how you turn the wheel to adjust the modes on it. I'd think if you were in the woods and it got bumped on something, you wouldn't notice if it switched to another yardage because of the one light on the site. I guess you could always check it before you shoot but you don't always have time to do it when the moment comes. JRat1, I did think the dot was too big also. I think i'll stick with my spot hogg for now.
