As far as single cam bows, this year I think the Ross Cardiac, Fred Bear Truth, Pearson Z32 or 34, and the Diamond Black Ice are tops in my book.
Shoot em all and see which one you like the most, I think the Pearsons are the most modest priced but the Cardiac and the Black Ice are at the top of list as far as Quality.
Best thing to do is shoot anything and everything you can, then decide what is the best fit and feel for you. Good Luck :(
Shoot all the bows you can and go with what suits you best. That's why they make chocolate & vanilla ice cream, different tatse for different people. Then go get a Cardiac. :(

It really doesn't matter, practically every bow made is of good quality and you will be able to shoot just as good with one as the other.

You need to find the bow the feels good when you draw it, feels good when you shoot it, easy to hold at full draw and gives you the arrow speed and penetration your looking for with the gear you want on it. That simple.

Best advice I can give you is start with a Ross and work your way down. :D

Good luck.
