I'm trying to be respectful in making my point. Some people just don't understand. I can't believe I let myself get suckered into this thread. This guy was complaining about a shop and its quickly turning into a bow bash.

If you ask me, the guy asked for it buy taking it in to a Mathews dealer..........what did he expect, most dealers are gonna push what they sell.
Not that I think the dealer was right, cause I would of went off on him myself. :)

Agree

I'm guessing this guy didn't buy his 334 from a ROSS dealer but the guy needs to expect that or learn and get the tools to do those setup things himself.

I think semobow is right. Most of the shop owners around here are all too willing to tell you what's wrong with a bow that isn't their brand. However, there's a dealer 20 minutes from my house that'll do whatever he can to help anybody. He doesn't care what brand bow you shoot. Unfortunately, he doesn't carry Ross. Yet!

i used to take a jeep that i bought in Kansas city to the dealer in my town. They didnt care, they charged me the same as they would have if the jeep was bought there.

Working on a bow is the same business model as a car dealership/shop. Provide repairs in a prompt, profitable manner that makes both sides happy.

that dealer could have set up the bow for say $20-30. Then maybe if that dealer had half a brain cell for business could have gotten say. A release, A doz arrows, Broadheads, maybe a sight and rest, a peep sight. And heaven forbid.... a repeat customer. But nope he blew it by bashing a bow.

IMO most bows out there today are good bows. Some fit better some fit worse. My cup of tea is a Ross. I think the drenalin is a nice bow, but i wouldnt buy one. My local dealer i found recently has Ross, Mathews and Parker. He respects his customers and the people that just walks in the door. As long as he does that i will shop there. Just kinda a pain to drive 30 miles to a shop. Poor Dewit drives 90... but he lives in Kansas..... LOL

that whole chevy vs ford vs mopar mentality is just stupid chest beating. The only person it hurts is you, cuz youre chest is bruised and you havent changed anyones mind.

You know I frequent archery talk too. I don't even read any further when bow bashing begins. It is terrible when someone pays top dollar fo a bow and is he or she is new to archery, he reads this thread and thinks man I wasted my money. This all because the other guy beets his chest as he says I have the best, yours is just a copy of better brand.

yup,,,,,,,

and you might agree that: the Ford vs. Chevy vs. Mopar thing drove some to buy Hondas and Toyotas!
Bow bashing is the archery world's version of "shooting ourselves in the foot".

There's a lot of good bows out there in today's market, but some are better than others. That's why I'm just a Ross dealer. Ross is the only bow we carry but I work on them all. I respect any person for what they are shooting because at least they are out there shooting and that's what it's all about. If you come into the shop I'll treat you like you're my only customer and if you treat me and my shop with respect you'll leave with what's more important than what bow you shoot, you'll leave with a shootin' buddy!!
