A friend of mine put a kisser button on his new Cardiac (just because he has always used one). We were shooting at the range (1st time with the bow) and the corner of his mouth and his bottom lip where the kisser button contacted literally tore the skin off his lip. It was bleeding and looked bad. We have been talking to him for years to take the kisser button off, so he did (that day). He doesn't miss the button at all now, is shooting as good or better than ever, probably gets a little more FPS, and at least when he smooches his bowstring now it doesn't bite back.

I used a kisser for years on my Hoyts...but found that I can not use on with my 334. I tried several different types and ALL of them tore up my lips.
So...gave up on the kisser...just took and tied a small button with serving to help remind me of my anchor point instead.

Gave the "ripper kisser" up long ago!! Now I use just a peep and string on the tip of my nose. Bow even feels better at full draw and I'm not hunting for placement of the kisser. :(

I think the reason the kisser button is ripping up your lip is the short ata on the bow. I use to shoot 40-41 ata bows with a kisser and never had a problem. I went to a 337 this year and had a problem until the kisser was set the exact same distance from the nock as my longer ata bow.. I think the shorther ata bows have such an extreme angle that the kisser will rip up your lip. My kisser still irritates my lip but not to the extent it did before it was set the exact amount of distance above my nock.
