I was wondering who used or didn't use kisser buttons and what your opinion on them was?

For the majority the answer would be no. THe use of a kisser button fixes your sight in a set position. When you go out to longer yardage the bow raises and you have to make minor adjustment. to get housing of the sight to line up properly with your peep. The kisser becomes your main anchor and it shouldn't be. Shortge yardage it would be ok. Like 20 yard 5 spot. If I am wrong someone please correct me, I promise you won't hurt my feelings. I like to learn too

kissng a button

When I first started shooting a bow I did use a kisser button. I guess it depends on the person but once you accomplish muscle memory whats the point of having a kisser. I am no pro but consistent anchoring is probably the most import thing to achieve consistent shooting this can be achieved with out a kisser. Practice enough and the draw and anchor will become second nature.

I used to use one but have not in many years. I have seen that many of the 3D shooters have begun to go back to using one.

I am actually considering trying one just to see if it improves anything for me.

Actually a kisser button is a good thing. It gives a person a consistent anchor point. Deer30 if you have to move your anchor to get the sight pin in the peep, you are doing something wrong. Moving your anchor point to accommodate peep to pin is a recipe for inaccurate shooting. The peep should be big enough to see the whole housing of the sight. Then center the housing in the peep and select the pin that you want to shoot with. I use the HHA OL 5000 sight with a sight tape. I center it in the peep after anchoring and it is dead on. :-x

Don't use one and heres my thoughts......With a kisser you touch part of your mouth and how easy is it to move that point?? Try it. With out I have an anchor of my knuckles at the back of my jaw bone and my ring finger knuckle on my ear lobe. Can't move eather of these. The more mussel memorie you get the easier it is. Just my way of shooting.. :(

it all has a lot to do with if you center the pin in the peep or if you center your peep around the housing of your sight. if you center your peep around your sight housing then your anchor will never change.

i agree with the fact that nothing on your mouth is constant.
but if you ty a small not on your string that will contact the end of your nose you will know immediately if you are off on your anchor or if your peep has moved. works for me!

as i have said before just try it mikey you just might like it.

nothing wrong with either one or using none of them.

good shooting comes from repetability.

Right on 7bru, I went to the knot recently after using kissers for years and it works great, also the knot doesn't affect speed the way a kisser does.

I use to use kisser buttons on my bows and no peep sites cause I hated the peep tubing and big hunky plastic peep sights.

After going to todays slimmer, trimmer peeps, I now only use a peep and no kisser.
