Is that some kind of new stabilizer/fletching? Any details on them would be great Mike. Thanks. Chris.

They are a new "Gadget" to get away from fletching....

Here is the website with LOTS of info and videos. :(
http://www.starrflight.com/

Watch the videos and see for yourself, I did and ordered 2 dozen after that. I will shoot em tomorrow if the weather is better and report back. :)

Smoke did a review of them already:

Well, I set em up and got arrows spec'd out.

27.25" GoldTip Ted Nugent 5575s shafts with 100 gr. heads, FOBs, and QAD Tune-a-noks = 399 grains and a 10.55% FOC

The FOB (25 grains) seems to be a about 3-4 more grains than 3 fletched blazers and glue.
They come with a great instruction foldout paper and are recommended for "fast" drop away arrows rests.
I will try to zip some thru my Drop Zone tomorrow at long distances and see how they shoot.

They do work, i don't think they look all that great, but that don't matter, they do work :)
I've never tried them, but that's the stumbling block for me....the way they look. I do like the quick and easy aspect of them.

Well I shot them yesterday at 30 and 40 yards.....

They are right about being designed to have "lift" force and being able to hit higher than normal at longer yards.
I mounted these on some heavier GT arrows than I normally shoot, they still flew a lil higher than the lighter blazer vanes, maybe an inch at 40 yards.
They seemed to handle the wind really well as I was shooting in 7-9 MPH gusts in an open field.
Both the blazers and these FOBs were effected by the wind but not too bad as to call it a fault to either one.
I would venture to say the FOBs were effected less though.
Having the right drop away rest is the crucial factor in these FOBs.
I was shooting the FOBs out of a Tribute with a Ripcord and they were fine, but I have heard QAD rests really are picky with them. I do have my 337/Comp set up with a Trophy Ridge Drop Zone that seems to work great as well.

Sounds good, are you going to be switching to them?
Yeah, what he said. I'm seriously considering some. :(
I have 4 dozen arrows with blazers on them right now and 2 dozen shafts, BUT having said that and shooting these FOBs, I don't think I will be refletching arrows when my blazers do fall off.... :)

The only concern I can see with these are 3D shoots (I have never done one though).....
I am thinking once you make your shot, you have a great chance of having someone bash your FOB with thier preceding shots and might get rather expensive.
