We were in Overland Park the night she was abducted, actually saw the people handing out flyers before we even heard about it on the TV.............

Protecting our children is like 2 full time jobs. Everday, I realize that keeping my kids safe is going to be a constant concern in my mind.

This is a sad story I've followed also!! When people no longer
fear life in prison, or death row, what do we do?? They are not
punished anymore, due to societys' bleeding heart, their just
imprisoned, and that's not working!!

That and the good ol' fashioned butt whooping always does the trick.
I think thru time, when we got scared to discipline our kids firmly, alot of parents lost a huge powerbase.....

Stories like this always make you want to hold your children a little tighter. You have to let them grow up and you can't always accompany them everywhere they go. My daughter is only 6 yrs, old and this sort of thing plays in my mind and if this were to ever happen to her I don't know what I would do. I hope that I can teach her well enough to always be alert and do these activities with friends and be vigilant her self. I honestly don't know why people that would do this to our kids even exist on the planet.

It is a sad situation and hits very close to home here. They found Kelsey's body not 5 miles from my house. To give you an update on the case, the guy had his 1st day in court yesterday. Haven't decided weather the death penalty will be issued yet. They must first decide weather she was killed in Mo or KS. Lets hope they decide on Mo, we are more likely to issue the death penalty and carry it out than Kansas is.
