It appears maybe I was wrong about that guy. Thought at first he was just another pot stirrer with hidden motives... Maybe his inquiry is legit after all.
He is still a "troll" in my book till he fills out a profile and gets some other posts under his hat......
Yes, maybe he is genuine in asking the question, but I havent saw a response from him yet.

Rumor Mill

You know how it goes on AT Rumors, bashing, and lies all I know is as long as the quality is as great as it is I don't care if Donald Duck makes them   it would take alot for Ross to do everything in house. I work for a company that makes frames for Ford and there is ALOT of our work that is outsourced and we have a million square foot plant. As long as he quality is great and it's made in the USA WHO CARES!

Agreed 100%. Someone that is conscientious enough to *lurk* long enough to know how things work doesn't just all of a sudden sign up for a profile with no publicly available info and then make that their first post.

I personally wouldn't want Ross to do everything in house, as whatever they are doing now is working perfectly. It's a good business strategy -- outsource your specs to companies that are already THE BEST at what they do, and you end up with an end product that is also THE BEST. No faster way to become the best in my book.

I wasn't bothered by the topic about Ross outsourcing by any means. Well, maybe the NAP limbs part, but certainly not the G5 part. What bothered me was the way it was presented, and who it was presented by. There's still some shakedown that needs to happen there IMO.

At least we've got this great forum!

Yeah, thats what I was getting at. I dont like when someone just posts something to see how far the negative speculation will go. Like Groundhog said, I dont care who makes what. It works. Even if NAP made limbs( which I have never heard of), so what ? NAP is a solid company with solid products.

But whatever the case, Ross is coming on strong and I will continue to follow. I dont think enough can be said about the quality and attention to detail.

Hey guys.....Any company growing as fast as we are is going to have to use some outsourcing. G5 is also , Grace Engineering, a 40 year old machine shop, with an outstanding background. We appreciate their willingness to help us as our sales have already almost doubled from last year, and it's only mid February. Thank you for your support :)

Happy Hunting,
Angie

P.S. NAP does not make any parts for Ross, including limbs

I think someone said it earlier- it doesn't matter where it was made or by who - If it had the "Ross" name in it, I am satisfied to know it passed Andy and Angie's expectations.

personally i dont see why companies dont sub out parts. If you can find a company that will machine your riser to YOUR specs. Produce them in a fashion that will meet your demands. Then by all means its the smart business choice.

Its certainly not cheap to start a machine shop up due to finding employees, buying the many machines, paying more insurance and workers comp the list goes on.

Im pretty sure your cars, computers, electronics houses werent all built by one company w/o the use of sub contracting.

Sub contracting isnt a dirty word, its letting the company with the specific knowledge and equipment perform the work so the main company can give you the best product available. Im sure Ross would rather spend time on design, product assembly and marketing.

This isnt the govt where the product is made using the lowest bid that was won.

add:
someone needs to take the "button buck" status off andy and angies rank...

G-5 makes some great stuff. Look at their products they are machined perfectly. I don't know how any archery manufacture can afford to buy the machines that it takes to manufacture these parts. Some of these machines cost millions of dollars and you would have to sell a "butt load" of bows just to pay off the machine. My opinion the Ross' could not have picked a better company to help in the manufacturing of a perfectly great shooting bow.

I don't care how many people they have assisting in manufacturing. Ross is making a TOP quality bow and many, many people are taking notice (hence the increased demand).

Outside of Mathews, I am not aware of any bow compnay that does it all in house so the "others" need to just quietly bow out and go away.

I love how people start somehting in an attempt to get a rise out of people.

ROSS ROCKS!!!!!!!

Plain and simple
