Is it just me or has anyone had to set their Ross bows up with a high nocking point?

I shoot a 334 with a 27" GT 22 pro with 75 grains out front (300 grains total) at 60 pounds. My rest is a .012 Spring Steel blade on a GT 3000, so even though the rest is way stiff for this arrow, I have spring tension to play with.

My nocking point is located 3/8" above center with everything timed and properly tuned. It shoots bullet holes.

I am not sure about "high"...........maybe an 1/8"
I usually set the rest so that the bottom of the arrow passes through the center of the berger holes.
Seems to shoot bullet holes with the right splined arrow, every time on each one of mine.

I now this goes against common practice, but I always set up my Ross's with the arrow covering the Berger hole. I like to get the knocking point as close to the center of the powerstroke as possible. In my mind, I am getting all I can get out of the bow that way.

i set mine as close to the middle as i can giving me room for blazers with an eighth of an inch to help ensure no contact.

thats usually in the top half of the bergers to the top depends on the rest. Just put a trophy taker on and im tweakin it. Never tried a dropaway so i said lets go...

I came back to this thread and figured I would run a poll and see how many people are sitting "where ever" on thier nocking points for thier Ross bows.

Does my lowly dumb ole Mathews Drenlin count? I set it dead center over the berger button and very close to level. :???: :???: :???: :???: I will take a rain check on the Ross Cardiac. I took a RH off the rack today and gave it a once over. I really like the draw cycle it seems so smooth cant wait to shoot a lefty. I think I have decide it will have a trophy taker pronghorn rest, my new axcel 3000 with a classic scope with cross hairs for the sight (this site better be good it cost more than the bow), two of the Limbsaver modules for a stab. ACC 3-60's cut too 28". Sorry I rambled on and on but Cardiacs do that to you.

Nope your Dren..don't count, we are talking Ross bows. :)

Actually, what I mean is Ross bows actually tune a lil different from Mathews bows as well.

Great example from Lawler Outdoors:

"Set the rest so that the bottom of the arrow passes through the center of the berger hole (hole the rest bolts to) on Ross bows, on Mathews set the rest height so the top of the arrow is even with the top of the berger hole."

just came across this thread.

my CR331 is @ 1/4" with Vapor 450 CAA's..
and 3/16" with ICS 400's

I thought the 1/4" was too high and that something had to be wrong, but it shoots good like that :???:
