I have the Gortex rain gear. It has a light jacket and light pants you can slide over you regular pants. What i like is they are light weight and easy to fold up and put in a bag. They are not bulky at all. They are a little pricey but sure do love them.
Cabelas Gortex gear is pretty nice, If you have a local store the Bargain Cave is the place to go and see if they have your size on clearance or markdown.
I walked out of there with a FULL camo suit costing over $250 and all I paid was a lil over $90 for it.
Ive got some Bass Pro RedHead goretex jacket and pants. They have a microsuede outter to make it silent. They are semi-lightweight. However in warm rainy weather its hit or miss on how well they keep you cool.
NC doesnt have a Cabelas :-( , looks like VA and Penn are the closest states.
You can try the cabelas Bargain cave online, I did see a MAX4 camo Gortex coat in size 2XL reg. over $200 for $90.
There's one opening in Hazelwood (St. Louis), MO, in a week or so. That's about a 2 hour drive from me. I plan on making the trip pretty soon after they open. As for rain gear, I haven't looked at any for a while. I'll have to check it out when I'm there.
