Shooting wise I am ready but I still have a tweak here and there on the bow to be perfect. I am getting excited!! I have some new land to hunt that is crawling with does and at least one 140" buck.

Cant wait but no where ready. I have been shooting but only in the basement so no distance. I need to get outside and shoot some 35-45 yard targets. 15 yard shooting is better than none I guess, at least I can keep my muscles and form tight. I need to move a stand or two otherwise my hunting area is all set.

Got fired up the other night out working, was headed to a lights out call and came around a bend in the road and there was a bachelor group of seven bucks, three definate "popers" and one that stood out on his own, main frame ten with stickers on both G-2s, just outside the ears wide, tall tines, even with velvet you could tell he had some serious mass and a 6-7" drop tine off his right main beam. I'm estimating him in the high 160s or low 170s. Within a few miles of one of the farms I hunt, so I'm pumped!!

Getting there Just checked out 2 new areas tonight and walked through one from last year and saw 3 shooters. Also bumped into a 8x8 elk! Not bad for northern PA. !!!!!!

I whent out to change the batteries and memory card in my trail camera last weekend. No big bucks in the pics, but the landowner said he has seen more bucks in the fields and walking around the property than he has ever seen! So naturaly that has got me pretty excited, this will be the third year we've hunted this farm and we have only killed three bucks, but we have been slaughtering does, 11 for two guys in two years, because there are so many and letting the bucks walk.
