anybody on here hunt with a single shot pistol?

I have not hunted with a rifle since 1998. archery and pistols is all i use. i have missed some real bad and i have made some great shots. its a big thrill for me to take a buck with a pistol.

Use to have a TC Contender with 3 barrels (.454, .44, and .223) and a Ruger Redhawk & Ruger Blackhawk that I use to hunt with...till my whole rifle and pistol collection was ripped off by my lil brother's Meth head buddies, while I was in Iraq :wink:

I've been doing the majority of my deer hunting with revolvers for quite a while. The one I now mostly use is a Ruger Super Blackhawk Stainless Hunter in .41 Magnum Caliber, topped with a Weaver 2.5 power scope. :?

Nope, I did an FBI lost weapons report while I was in Iraq, but nothing yet.
When I was in WA last August the Sheriff said the case is still open but due to the meth trade I am one of hundreds of people that have cases open.
My lil brother was strung out on the junk for years and I guess gave the dirt bags access to the guns so the insurance Co. had it as an inside job and no robbery, hence no $$$. :???:

I already replaced my Ruger 10/22 and bought an Encore Rifle.

The only single shot pistol I have is a TC Contender with a 22 , 223 , 44 mag & 7-30 waters barrels . I shot a doe with the 7-30 waters barrel a couple years ago . I prefer the single shot rifles also .

I pistol hunt with a SA Ruger SBH with a leopold 2x scope.

never thought much of using a Contender.

yes i have hunted with them all. iron sight single action. laser equipped glock plastic and falling block 15 inch bottleneckrifle cartridge modified rifle that just happens to have a pistol grip.

I should have titled this who hunts with a handgun and not a pistol. :grin: :grin: :grin:

Very nice. I've been using the Uncle Mike's bandoleer holster for years and I like it, but it can be a little noisy.

10-4 on the uncle mikes. it works but it is noisy. I talked to the guy that makes these holsters and he will build any way you want.

hey sniper i talked to the holster dude on the phone and he is gonna make me a custom for my falling block pistola. this guy will make any kind of holster just like you want.

I called him yesterday and id not get an answer but he called me back. pretty cool i think for someone to call from minnesota to nc even if it is a cell number that would be free sometimes.
