Hi, I got a dozen of Carbon Tech Hippo XP 23/400 (yellow) from Alternative SS in Luxembourg, assembled six of them with the 30 grain tip inner screws to get 100 grain tip weight. Fletchted them with 3” plastic vanes, original pin adapters and Beiter nocks.
During 7 rounds all of them broke just in front of the vanes, one of them during release causing the string hitting my upper arm very hard.

My (Barebow) bow is a Kinetic Sovren 27 with 30# Mybo Synergy Carbon Plus limbs, giving 40# on my fingers.

The arrow shafts were a bargain, I know they aren’t manufactured anymore. Does carbon get weaker bythe years? Did anybody make a similiar experience? Any ideas what happened?
