Any here that shoot Slicks getting an audible hiss when shooting them??
I can hear it good from the bow side so I hate to shoot them at an animal because I know that they can hear them coming.

Sounds like a string jumpin thing to me... :-(

Might have to go with a different BH...I got these from Mike on here to try and I really don't like that noise...they shoot great but they would have to be traveling faster than the speed of sound to be able to get them to a deer without being heard.

Anyone have any suggestions on good quiet Broadheads I could try this year??

i have shot rocket ultimate steel 100 for 4 yrs and killed 25 deer, 260lb wild boar, and a turkey. never had noise problems or penetration problems and best of all they always hit where my field points hit, no extra tuning required. they are only 7/8 cut but always leave awesome blood trails if i dont watch them fall good luck DR

I shoot Slick Tricks and noticed noise from the magnums but not so much with the standards. I think by the time a deer hears them, it will be over. This is the first year using them so only time will tell.

I've been shootin the Slick Tricks for the past 2 years (Mags) and have not had the noise issue you are describing. One thing I do know, I have always had pass-through and they fly true to my field tips. :(

I havent noticed any noise from my slick trick magnums and a friend shoots the 1" slick tricks and there isnt any noise from them. We shoot a broadhead leaugue at the club we belong to, and while he shoots I am down range behind a "wall"....all I hear is the arrow whopping the cardboard target!

I think the noise I am hearing are the Blazers cutting the air. I still don't think a deer will hear it until it's too late.

I think you hit the nail on the head. I shoot Duravane Predators and have no issues. I will say this, the slick trick is one tough BH and flies awsome! Good Luck :(

They fly great!!

The Slicks fly wonderful and I have no doubt they will do the trick on whatever I run it through...Just a little concerned about the flying noise is all...If you guys think it is ok then I may keep them and give a try...

We tried the Slick Tricks and definitely heard the "singing" sound. That being said, we found that we only heard the sound from the rear, and spotters who stood in a protected spot to the front and side of the flying arrow could hear nothing.

Whitetails will never know it's coming.

I just switched to Slick Tricks this year. In fact I just got my first ones last week the 100grn mags. I had already read this thread so I was worried about noise. Not only did I hear no noise, but these things fly awesome. They hit spot on out to 60 yards and thats the farthest I shoot.

Me and a buddy were shooting today and both shoot Slick Tricks.
We took turns standing to the side of the shot to listen. Well, about the time you hear the arrow coming it has already hit the target. That works for me. Unless the deer is something from the Matrix, it will never know what happen. :(
