Stix - The reason I put the Simms strips on there is because the HHA XL w/ the 2" recticle had a distinct 'ring' to it on the shot like a tuning fork. The insulator strips solved the issue. I haven't noticed any issue with the 1 5/8" recticle.
RJ1 - I'll never shoot another rest after owning a Limbdriver. IMO, a Ross w/ a Limbdriver is the best bow on the planet set up with the best rest on the planet. By FAR the most accurate rig I've ever laid my hands on, including several dedicated, longer ATA "target" bows.
The vertical adjustment was the only thing I thought was a little finicky about the original version of limbdriver I have, but that's 100% better on the new Convertible version that you're getting if you just ordered one.
When I first bought the rest I figured I'd end up using it for 3d, and then put the Whisker Biscuit back on for hunting season... I put the Limbdriver on to finish up late hunting season since I had already killed my buck, so I figured it was a good time to do some new equipment testing on some doe hunts. After shooting two doe with it, I won't be taking the Limbdriver off my bow, period. The Whisker Biscuit is now for sale. (which reminds me I have to put an ad up for that)
I can't say enough good about Limbdriver. I'm just glad everyone doesn't shoot this rest -- it's my secret weapon, and the only chance I have of keeping my scores competitive with everyone else.
