You mean tak the rope off to use for a d-loop? NO, it wont work that way.

I have a friend that loves his, said it took him a while to get use to it, but he likes it.

I dont like releases that are straight on the string center serving, it's a lil more wear on the string.

IMO id never use a rope release hunting. but you might be thinking target.
i think if you used a halo centerserving youd get less wear. and wax your center too with a rope release

I have been using the Short N Sweet for a while now and without the provided string. I hook up right to the d-loop and it works just fine.....no need for the provided rope that came with the release.......

I've got 2 TruBall Short N' Sweet's and I dont use the provided rope with either one of mine....I just hook they to the D-Loop on my string and they work perfect. I was a die-hard SCOTT release shooter for many, many years but I really like the Short N' Sweet for a hunting release. Heck I like them so much I sold my Scott releases and got an extra TruBall so I'll have a backup.
