I bought a Chappy Boss with caliper head and thought it was too noisy. I will say they have a very sensative thumb trigger on them . You just barely touched it and it went off. It was too loud for my liking. I do know that the owner is a very strong Christian though, and thats always a plus :(

I've got a Copperhead Xtra -- very nice wrist release. 100% dead quiet, and very solid. I haven't been using it much since I picked up a Carter Ember II though.

Once hunting season rolls around again, I will have to make a decision on whether to hunt with the Copperhead, or to go with my tride and true TruFire Hurricane...

I have a couple of buddies that have truball and love them I personally bought the Tru Fire Judge release b/c i liked the way the jaws and head rotated smoother and to be different it is bigger than the copperhead and othe Truball releases. :(

ROSSDAWG, that IS a sweet feature on the Judge - makes a lot of sense to me in the aspect that it'd make it almost impossible to torque the string or loop. If I would have known about the Judge when I bought my Hurricane, I would have bought a Judge instead.

I really like my Hurricane, but the only thing I don't like is that I wish the adjustment bar would allow for a shorter setting than it's minimum so I could tuck the release into my hand a bit further. That's the ONLY thing I like better about the Copperhead - shorter distance between wrist strap and release head.

Overall, I think the TruFire Hurricane seems to be built a bit more solid than the Copperhead. They both seem durable, but the TruFire just has a more solid feel to the trigger. I also like the wider jaws on the Hurricane, as they are more gently on string loops than the Copperhead (tend to tear up loops faster). Also, the strap on the TruFire releases are more comfortable. I had to really work in the strap on the TruBall to get in comfortable - mink oiled it several times, and really worked it in with my hands while watching hunting shows a few nights in a arow. The TruFire strap was comfortable right out of the box, and has only gotten better with age.

Sorry to hijack the TruBall thread a bit... this just got me thinking about my likes/dislikes in a release.

Weve been selling the TRU Ball Stinger release since it came out
They are very quiet to hook onto the loop or your string and they give you a smooth shot

They are a great company with good people

has anyone tried the Scott Sabertooth? I think i may get one of these
I think Scott RCS and Fletcher Flathead releases are some of the best hunting releases out there that make a good target release as well. :(

I'e been trying to decide between The Judge and a Scott Mongoose or Little Goose. I thought I wanted a double caliper but the single calipers from Scott caught my eye.

My wife has the Little Bitty Goose and I think It is one of the best releases I have came across.
If the strap would fit my wrist, I would snag it from her :)
but, I will order a RCS or NCS release from Scott for me in the future.
