Packaged well

Painless took all of 10 minutes to get setup
Directions provided clear concise steps to setup properly

First shots:
5 arrows, within a quarter size group at 15 yards with no peep in bow and no lense in scope.

Second Shots:
No changes to the rest or bow, same results, busting nocks at 15 yards without even trying to hunt nocks.

First Impressions:
This is an AWESOME rest and I cannot wait to get it outdoors tomorrow afternoon and get it fully tested.

Will post more after more testing is done but so far it is worth the money and I am glad I got one.

8) Hmmmmmm... interesting.... 8) I've been wondering about these. I just gotta get past that string going all the way up to the limb. Kinda looks funny doesn't it? Maybe it's not such a big deal if I seen it in person.
Keep us posted on the rest of your results. :(

It looks like it would kind of blend in with the cables. Is that a fair statement, weave? :???:

Very fair and accurate. I have shot it a ton today in the basement and actually pay it no mind at all now.

I too am really sceptical of the string running up the limb but,
I saw this on A/T and gotta admit it didnt look too bad.

How is the containment on the arrow rest itself?
I have never even seen one up close.

As an FYI, there is no reason to use those things on the string. The string is not tight enough for those to matter IMO

The string is just loop material so you can use whatever color floats your boat. They ship it with black though.

There are also two types of rests.

The 06 models are specific to certain bows (Ross uses a Mathews) and a generic. None of which have vertical adjustment.

The 07 Pro is like the generic model and has micro in both directions.

I also spoke to Dave Nowlin from AT today, for like 30-45 minutes. For starters, what a great person to deal with. Very smart and knows the LD inside and out. Also just an all around nice guy.

I read somewhere that a few guys were seeing the string getting chewed up by the set screw. Other than that, all I've heard has been very positive.

Dave told me that there are some folks that are running the screw in real tight and it is cutting the string.

This thread is gonna have me order one to try out........

Does a carbon arrow make any noise coming across the rest when there is no fleece or coating on it?

How sturdy is the launcher, does it flex?

Yes, but it comes with moleskin. I will get some pics of mine tomorrow.

The launcher is VERY sturdy.

If you were not left handed I would make you a deal. That deal would have been order it and if you do not like it I would buy it from you.

If you do not like this rest, I would be stunned.

Here is a pic of one on a 331 from AT

The best way to descirbe this rest is it works exaclty backwards of a "normal" drop-away.

On a "normal" drop-away, the string pulls the rest arm up when you draw by being attached to the down cable and spring tension is what pulls the rest back down when you release. On these rests the string is limp when not at full draw and then gets tight as you draw. Not to mention that the string is attached to the cable, or placed in the middle of it, which some says can mess with timing.

On the LD, the string is attached to the upper limb in the "v" with the supplied limb button and the string is tight when not at full draw. When you draw the bow, the string goes limp and the spring tension in the rest lifts the launcher. The spring tension holds the rest up until the string goes tight again, which is micro-seconds before the arrow clears the shelf.

I belive that this is what make this rest more accurate than other "normal" drop-away rests. You get the support of a standard rest but with the clearance of a drop-away all in the same rest due to the reversed approach.

The Whammy works the same way but is harder to setup and not as easy to keep in time...yep the Whammy needs to be timed, the LD does not.

It is worth it and you will NOT be sorry you got one.

I have been shooting a Limb Driver for over a year now on my Ross CR334 and it has been the best rest I have ever used! And dont plan on ever using any other again! My first thought when I seen one was I wasnt quite sure of the look with the cord coming down from the limb, but you do get used to it!
I put a couple Rest Implants on the prongs of mine. I first cut off the upper "wings" of the prongs as to me it is a bit more than is needed. Then I cut down the Rest Implants abit, and put them on with a touch of fletch-tite to hold them in place. But they come off when you want them to and you can easily replace them. But they dont wear out that quick. Here is a pic of it...And actually looking at my picture, that picture was taken prior to cutting down the prongs some. Once I nipped off the upward turning portion of the prongs it still cradles the arrow perfectly, but just takes some of the height off the prongs.
