Well I shot in my first ever ASA state finals on Sunday in Open C. I have not seen the offical results but I should be in 5th overall.

It was a tough course and I felt I shot well. I ended up with a 292 but only 2 12's. One would think that out of 22 10's, I would have at least lucked into a few more 12's......I had 6 8's and no 5's or 0's.

Oh well, there is always next year. :(

some days are better than others...congrats on being there and competing, hope you had a ball. Yep it only seems fair that a few more 12,s would have showed up with that many 10,s....guessing you were centered up in the 10 and would have really rompt at an IBO. The low 12 at the ASA tourny's adds a really cool twist to the challenge of judging the target and when to shoot center 10 or go for the low 12 and risk dropping by the smallest margin into an 8 or possibly even a 5. For me the challenge of the low 12 and that almost irrisitable temptation to shoot at it was a true addrenaline rush and added a new element of excitement to an already addicting game. Again congrats on attending, on your score, your success, and of course best of luck next year.
