I took my wife and daughters outta town (they will say "finally") for a lil family time.........
We headed to Independence, MO but along the way, I got my time at Cabelas and the new Bass Pro.
Now, I usually go to Cabelas once a month or so but have missed it for the last few so the bargain cave was my biggest priority….Once getting there, I scored a Tru-ball thumb release for $44 and g5 Striker 125 grain b-heads for $20. :)

I guess I am just spoiled with the Springfield, MO Bass Pro as this one wasn’t too big on Archery or Firearms but had TONS of fishing and boating stuff.
The KC Bass Pro does have the normal shooting ranges and a archery section that isn’t too bad with one shooting lane.:(

It was good to go to it, but I did notice alot of "young" or not too knowledgeable workers and even in the archery section a few of them didn’t seem to "up to snuff" on archery tech.

It was a great time, we ended up seeing some history sites, an outdoor water park, and a 4 story Mall that was the largest that any of us have seen.
I did get the 07 Trophy Ridge catalog while I was at the Bass Pro. They have new the pics of the new quivers and CAP sights ..the 6 shooter quivers look pretty sharp, I am gonna try to get one to try it out. :)

They also have the Rocket broadhead layout in the catalog as well.

I have heard the store got scrapped cause of the Olathe store. It is just gonna be the 30 acre park with fishing lake, in the above link I posted.

The Independence store is going up but due to ground water issues the completion date was moved to summer 2008. They are taking rock out of the ground and having them cut to use for the exterior walls, it should be very nice when completed. The Olathe store is a tad small when you compare it to Springfield and Cabelas.
