I really want to start getting a little more self relient when it comes to this stuff and I REALLY want to get into fletching arrows. I dont want (nor could i afford) the top notch stuff, but i was thinking maybe the Arizona EZ fletch or something a little cheaper like that. Any ideas? What all will i need?

I have been using a Arizone for years now. :(
No, it's not a "professional grade" like a bitz BUT for me, It has served me well and I see nothing wrong with it if you use it corectly.

I have ALL the arms (L and R, carbon and alum).
But all you need is RH offset for Aluminum if you are doing Goldtip 5575 sized carbon arrows.
The Carbon arms are really for the skinnier type carbons.

the grayling jig can fletch anything without any gimmicks. works like a bitzenburger without a big price. i think you can get one for around 30 dollars. BRU

I second the grayling jig. I have used one for years and bought a Bitz to relace it but the grayling works so well that I sold the bitz and have stuck with the grayling.

no you order the jig and it comes with one clamp. if you shoot helical get the one that comes with a helical clamp.

if you shoot straight fletch get a straight clamp.

sorry about misunderstanding. BRU

Grayling will do you well, just take your time when setting it up
so you get good contact with your fletching, I just did some carbons with 5" feathers and it took awhile to get full contact.

Fletching jig

I started with a Grayling and it works well but then I tried a bitz and for me and fletching Blazers I found that the magnet is stronger and you get a better fit of the vane to the arrow.

One tip for the grayling. When they come new sometimes there are some burrs on the "lips" of the clamp. Take a sharp knife and scrape these off.

Also wraps make life much easier, especially when using blazer vanes.

Here are some pics of arrows I have recently done.
