there is a program over at the carbon express sight that is web based and will walk you through the spine choice.

my guess is Maxima 250.

i have not yet recieved my Cardiac ... but my plan is to shoot the 350's - that's what i use to shoot with my Mathews. That bow was 70# backed off 1/2 turn. i shot the maxima 350's with no problem and tuned that bow to shoot darts.... :(

Their chart shows you on the lower end of the 350's. I am guessing your total arrow length (including broadhead) will be around 29 inches. 29" arrow at 64 to 69 lbs shows a 350. A 28" arrow still shows a 350.

I would go with the 350's unless you really want to be on the high end of a lighter arrow.

For comparison sake - I am shooting a 30" (total) Maxima 350, 3 Blazers, 100 grain head and my arrows are coming in at 380 grains on the nose. I would guess yours would come in at somewhere around 372 grains if you used the Maxima 350. If you went with the 250's, you would be about 24 or 25 grains less, which would put you right under 350 grains total.

Yep, you are right on the border line between the 2 arrows.
I tend to favor the heavier arrows in this situation but that's me.
When you crank your Cardiac up to max, which is about 75 lbs on most I have sold that will put you in 350s anyway.
I have some 250s with Blazers I shot thru my Drenalin but not thru the Cardiac yet. I made them up for my Pearson that is maxed at 62 lbs but sold the sight off it on Sat.
Maybe I'll get a chance today and I'll let you know how they fly.

OK I shot the 250s out of my Cardiac today
68 lbs draw weight, 26.5 draw length
These are the regular Maxima 250s with Blazers
Arrow is 27" long with 100 gr field point. Total arrow is 340.9 gr
274 FPS
They seem to shoot just fine

I also shot my Maxima Hunter 350s with wraps and hard helical 4" feathers, 28.5" long arrow with 100 gr field points. Total arrow is 401.6 gr
254 FPS

If my calculations(ok, Eastons calculator) are correct the 250s would have 56.84 KE
The 350s would have 57.59

So, as long as the lighter arrows shoot well out of your set up they will have almost the same KE as the heavier 350s and shoot a little flatter?

I bought the Easton Axis FMJ 340 spine and they shoot gat and they're pretty tough, b/c I accidentally shot 2 arrows through some trees and you could hear the arrows hitting limbs and they're as staight as they were before. :(
