Stix ~ I followed that thread most of the day. Its flat out hillarious. There are so many biased opinions on there that its comical that they think people would actually believe them. I dont care what the blowies say, Hoyt and Mathews are probably close to being both #1. Sales are relative to where you live. Some places Mathews is real big, others its Hoyt. Around here, lotsa Hoyts. Up north, lotsa Mathews.

I will say this ~ 5 years from now, Ross will be right there with them.

It's all about what fits you and what you enjoy shooting. The most important thing is that we are bow hunters and we have the freedom to do something we all love with very few restrictions.

A great big THANKS to all our service men and women for fighting for our right to enjoy the outdoors the way they were menat to be enjoyed.

Ditto with Bizz Also I did not want to follow "the crowd" I looked for a bow that felt GREAT to ME! not what everyone else shoot. I know a guy who just won a bow and is going to sell it and another to buy a ______ because that is what everyone else is shooting! NOT RIGHT!

Ross will hold their own soon enough, I know I'll be shooting one for a long time!! :-?

I don't really care who is number one....Seems like the more bows a company sells now days the more the prices get jacked up in the following year.
The prices for a Mathews is outrageous now days when you realy dig dep and compare the bows features to other bows out there. Bowtech lives off the speed ratings but I still do not really care for the feel on the binary cams, but that is just me.

I will stick with Ross till they give me a reason not to, reguardless of how many bows they sell. :(

No brother, its not just you . I hate the feel of Bowtechs cams.

I will also shoot what I like. Right now, I like my Ross's. I also like my AR34, and Hoyt's as well.

Amen. Preach on brother Mike.

Ross is without a doubt the best value on the market.
You get a lot of bow for the $$$. Quality is excellent and the components are top of the line. Plus the owners and customer service are first class too. :(

what i dont get is why do they put us down because of G5 making our stuff?
Not sure, especially since G5 is known to be one of the best machine shops in the world for this type of equipment.

Seek those that are the BEST at what they do, and you're going to come away with the BEST possible end product. That philosophy makes sense to me. In my opinion, manufacturers that decide to make an inferior product in-house are only hurting themselves.

This practice is called best-of-breed, and it's been around in many other industries (such as software) for a LONG time. Ross has adapted this practice into the bowmaking business, which is yet another reason they will continue to produce a superior product which will cause them to gain market share.

Take a bow that's second to none in quality, combine that with a fair price, and customer service that's among the very best in any industry, and you've got a formula for a real winner.

I think I will post this on that AT thread, though I'm quite certain it will fall on many deaf ears.

Some people think that doing "some" work out of house is a bad thing.
I see nothing wrong with it if the quality is the best it can be.

Take bowtech and other companys that brought camo dipping in house, if you look at the quality of the bows camo job, it just is not there like other models that rely on Quality hydo graphic comapnys like TarJac. I have had more issues with Bowtech, Newberry, and HCA camo dipping quality than other models.

Ross has struck gold with their philosophy, and it makes alot of " fanboys" nervous. If a new company rises up so quickly with NO limb issues or anything else, that will hurt their pride and steal their thunder. Who cares who makes what ?!
It works :)
