Well, I made it down to my local proshop tonight for the first time since reopening. As I browsed the bows, I came upon the X-Force. I picked it up and looked it over. My first impression of the bow was good, I REALLY liked the grip and the bow was also pretty light. Then the new owner came up and chatted with me for a while and then he asked if I'd like to shoot the X-Force. I said SURE. He said he had a LH one on lay-away, and that it was 28" 60-70lbs. It was set on 62lbs. They threw a whisker biskit on there for me to shoot with. He handed me the bow and off the the chrono and bag targets we went. Here is what she did, 28" 62lbs, 330 gr arrow and it shot 296fps consistantly. This bow is SMOKIN'!!! The draw really isn't what I expected. I expected it and the brace height to rip your shoulder and tear the skin off your forearm. That was hardly the case, I got a SLIGHT scuff on every shot, an STS or meanV or something like that would be wonderful. The bow was really quiet and it didn't have a single dampner on it. there was just a little vibration but what do you expect. I was VERY impressed. Impressed enough for me to consider laying one away.

They also had a CR334 on trade in they were trying to sell. It was right handed but I drew it on 72lbs and it felt like NOTHING.

I messed with a RH 60 pound X-Force Monday and I didn't care for the draw. Now, it was set at 30 inches and I am told they run about 3/4 long to begin with but, the draw to me felt more than my 70 pound Tribute. 8)
I also noticed the short brace and with the 2 techs and 2 other customers in the shop there wasnt a person that didn't get hit with the strings when shooting it.
I think the 7" brace version is gonna make a killng, but for me, It's off my wishlist.

Mike, did you use a release? that extra bit of draw makes a difference. I honestly LOVED the bow. Granted the draw is stiffer than any of the ROSS's maxed out but what do you expect?

yea, I used a release...I have been told I gotta get one set at 28 inches and try it, said it would be much better.

I guess I am an oddball, I am not really a fan of that super thin grip either.
It was quiet for as fast as it shoots and the camo job was 10X better than the PSEs in the past.

I Loved the grip, but try a DL about 1/2" too small. 62lbs was very comfortable for me. I really did like it.

i love the grip...i dont get any string slap at all, even without the sts...now the first time i shot it,i hadnt shot a bow in 3 months and it lit my forearm up...after i shot it a couple of times and started to get my form back i didnt have any problems with string slap...everyone says that the draw is long on the x-force but at 30 inches it feels the same as my ross bows...either way this bow may not be for everyone but i sure love mine
